Hello Whitt families! I’m honored to serve as the principal of Whitt Elementary — a place that holds a very special place in my heart. I had the privilege of teaching kindergarten and 4th grade at Whitt for over a decade! I have been a proud member of Wylie ISD for the past 20 years. It’s truly a full-circle moment to return to this campus.

My family and I live in Wylie, and my children attend Wylie ISD schools, so I understand firsthand the importance of strong community connections and the impact of a supportive school environment. I am committed to building positive relationships with our students, families, and staff, and I believe that every child deserves to feel valued, challenged, and celebrated.

I’m so excited for the journey ahead and look forward to continuing Whitt’s legacy of excellence together.

My name is Elyse Griffin, and I am so honored to be a Whitt Wolf! I’ve been in education since 2009, I taught 3rd grade and 5th grade before I served as the Section 504 and Gifted Coordinator for grades 5-8 in Highland Park ISD. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, a master's degree in educational leadership, and a doctor of education in educational leadership from Dallas Baptist University - go Patriots! My husband, Jeffrey, is a commercial title examiner at Republic Title of Texas. We have three children; Elliott, Troy, and Brenley. Outside of the school day, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, walking, cooking, and shopping. I look forward to what our pack will accomplish this year as we learn and grow together!
